I had just joined the Israeli IDF unit when I wanted a weekend off. When I asked the commanding officer he told me, “No way!!” The next day, I came back to the camp with an Arab army tank. My commanding officer came by and I asked him if I could have the weekend off. Needless to say, he said, “No problem.” When I came back after the weekend he came over to me and asked me how I got the tank. I told him I went with an Israeli army tank to the Arab side and surrendered. When an Arab soldier came to the tank I asked him, “You need a weekend off? Let’s switch tanks!”
